Warriors trophies at CitySigns HQ

Warriors trophies at CitySigns HQ

There was night at Sixways Stadium not so long ago that we witnessed what was possibly the strangest, most surreal and extremely emotional game of rugby we have ever seen! It was of course the 2nd leg of the Greenking Championship Final between the Worcester Warriors and Bristol Rugby. Taking a 1 point into the second leg, Warriors were hoping to complete the job and win promotion back to the Aviva Premiership at the first attempt. Bristol, who have cruelly missed out in the last few seasons were hoping to come and spoil the party and gain promotion for themselves.

What Sixways witnessed that night was like nothing we have seen before. A game of rugby that was epic and strange all at the same time leaving supporters and quite possible players and coaches, stunned at what had happened.

Trailing by 14 points with only 7 minutes left on the clock, Warriors pulled off an amazing 30 -30 draw on the evening with the last kick of game to win promotion and send Sixways into wild scenes of celebration! While the Warriors players celebrated, the Bristol players were left heart broken as they came up 1 point short, missing out on promotion.  It was certainly night CitySigns won’t forget and it took several days to get the voice back! CitySigns HQ was certainly a lot quieter for the rest of that week!

We are proud to be associated with the Warriors and were delighted when the Championship Trophy and the B&I Cup that was won earlier in the season, was brought to HQ. They looked great along side our new branding at a very sunny CitySigns HQ and caused quite a stir around Ball Mill Top Business Park where HQ can be found.

Our business relationship with the Warriors goes back over 12 years so have been responsible for a lot signage and have seen many changes around Sixways Stadium. We are looking forward to continuing that as the club prepares for next season back in Aviva Premiership mixing it with the countries big boys..

Come on you Warriors!
