As Worcester’s leading signage and display specialists, we are the proud winners of two awards at this year’s Worcestershirehour Awards on Friday 1st July at Sixways Stadium in Worcester.
We are absolutely delighted to announce that we won ‘Social Media Personality of the Year’ for Fluffy, our social media campaign supporting the Grace Kelly Childhood Cancer Trust and our fun-filled Managing Director, Darren Wilkins, won ‘Joker of the Year’. Plus, we were also Highly Commended in the category ‘Best use of LinkedIn by a Business’ and won Silver for ‘Best Social Media Campaign by a Business’.
The evening which was a celebration of business achievements across Worcestershire, was particularly special for the City Signs Team as we have been sponsoring #Worcestershour since it was founded in 2013 by Stuart Allen. As the unique online networking hour through Twitter has grown from strength to strength so too has its followers. Having been shortlisted for seven awards, City Signs are passionate about supporting local businesses through social media.
Darren Wilkins says “What a night! Sixways was buzzing as businesses from across the County gathered for the Worcestershirehour Awards. We were just honoured to be a Finalist but to actually win two awards, receive a silver and a highly commended award too, was truly sensational.”
Darren adds, “I would have to say that the award that we were really touched by, as it was voted for by the public, was for Fluffy who led our 2021 social media campaign for the Grace Kelly Childhood Cancer Trust. It is such an amazing charity and as we continue to support them in 2022, we embrace any assistance we can give them, to help raise the awareness of childhood cancers.”
